Yusuf Muhammad is a lifetime martial artist who began training in 1973. A 26 year veteran police officer and chief of police, Yusuf has studied several martial arts. He currently holds the ranks of Shifu in Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu, 5th degree black belt in American Freestyle Karate, Mataas Na Guro in Pekiti Tirsia Kali under Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje, 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Associate instructor in Jun Fan Gung Fu and the Filipino Martial Arts under Sifu/Guro Dan Inosanto, purple belt in Warrior Krav Maga, blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Lloyd Irvin.

  • Former Police Officer and Police Chief with over 26 years of service
  • Both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Management from Johns Hopkins University
  • Post-graduate courses in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University
  • Appeared on ABC’s 20/20 representing the Prince George’s County, Maryland Police Department
