Luke Alschbach

Luke Alschbach serves as both an active competitor and coach in MMA & Submission Grappling at Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute in Plano, Texas, where he brings his extensive martial arts expertise to martial artists, fighters and grapplers of all levels.

As an active competitor, Luke has achieved gold medal status in both MMA and no-gi Submission Grappling competitions, demonstrating his skill and dedication to combat sports. His competitive experience allows him to bring real-world applications and techniques to his teaching and coaching.

Luke holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kung Fu, reflecting his deep commitment to traditional martial arts alongside his modern fighting disciplines. This combination of traditional and contemporary training gives him a well-rounded approach to practical martial arts instruction and combat sports. 

His athletic background also includes experience as a Varsity Wrestler, further enhancing his knowledge of takedowns, grappling, competitive experience and increasing his coaching capabilities.

At Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute, Luke combines his diverse martial arts background to provide comprehensive training that balances traditional martial arts with practical combat application, helping those he coaches develop both as martial artists and as individuals.
