An updated evolution of Japanese Shooto that unifies striking, wrestling, takedowns, positional control, and submission grappling into one connected method.
CSW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
A structured BJJ program informed by Erik Paulson’s coral-belt training under Rigan Machado and his deep experience in wrestling, catch wrestling, and submission grappling.

A complete curriculum for transitioning between striking, clinch fighting, takedowns, ground control, submissions, pressure, strategy, and combat integration.

Which affiliation systems are available?
The five individual affiliation systems are Combat Submission Wrestling, STX Kickboxing, Erik Paulson MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Shooto 2.0. Your application and conversation with the Association will help identify the best starting point.
What is included in the Core3 package?
Core3 combines three of the Association’s most popular programs: Combat Submission Wrestling, STX Kickboxing, and Erik Paulson MMA. You receive all three for the price of one primary affiliation membership.
How much does affiliation cost?
An individual primary system is $250 per month. Core3 is also $250 per month and includes CSW, STX Kickboxing, and Erik Paulson MMA. Additional systems may be added for $125 per month per system.
Can I add another system later?
Yes. Active affiliates can add another Association system at the additional-system rate. This lets an academy begin with the strongest fit and expand its curriculum when the timing is right.
Do affiliates receive both video archives?
Yes. Active affiliates receive the Student Online University and the private Instructor Video Academy. Together, the two archives provide more than 7,000 training videos. Program-specific curriculum access is based on the selected affiliation path.
Are Coach Development Camps included?
The Association does not charge active affiliates an additional camp fee for Coach Development Program Camps. Camps provide hands-on training, curriculum development, coaching education, and time with Erik Paulson and the Association team.
Are testing and advancement included?
Active affiliates are not charged a separate Association testing or advancement fee. Advancement remains subject to the applicable system’s eligibility, training, attendance, knowledge, performance, and demonstrated-ability requirements.
Do I need to own an academy to apply?
Not necessarily. The program is designed primarily for academy owners, instructors, and coaches, but qualified serious practitioners may also apply for structured development. The Association reviews each application to confirm the appropriate membership path.
What happens after I submit my application?
The Association reviews your school, experience, current programs, and goals. Alan Baker or a member of the Association team will then contact you to answer questions, discuss program fit, and explain the appropriate next steps.
Are travel and lodging included for camps?
No. Although the Association does not charge active affiliates an additional CDP camp fee, each attendee remains responsible for travel, lodging, meals, transportation, and personal expenses.
