Started wrestling folk-style wrestling at age 5 in 1982. Started Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling in approximately 1989. Wrestled Free Style and Greco Roman for the US Army Baumholder Post team from 1996 to 1997. in 2000 started career as law enforcement officer in MN 2001 became a defensive tactics instructor. Since then have become defensive tactics instructor, ground avoidance ground escape instructor, spontaneous knife instructor, as well other weapons. Currently still instructing for the agency I am employed at. In January 2006 I started my training in Judo/Japan JuJitsu, currently holding ranks of 3rd degree black belt in JuJitsu and 2nd degree black belt in Judo. I have competed in both International Judo Federation, Freestyle Judo, and 3 part fighting system JuJitsu tournaments. I am as well a USA Wrestling Bronze level wrestling coach, giving me the ability to coach for any student in submission wrestling, folk style, free style, and Greco Roman at the national level competitions sanctioned by USA Wrestling. I have taught wrestling concepts at the World Wide Martial Arts Association Camp in St. Louis MO in July 2016 and North Central Region Winter camp February 2017 Mounds View MN. Attend Erik Paulson mini camp in Minnesota for CSW that same year during Christmas. When I originally opened my Gym in Willmar MN in 2012 We taught Japanese JuJitsu only. We added programs of Judo, Submission Wrestling, MMA. For about year and half had Brazilian Jiu Jitsu until our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt moved away to continue his bachelors degree in another location of state. Our Gym supports the efforts of USA Combat Wrestling that Omar Ahmed and Stephen Koepfer are board members of. I will continue to seek training ideas, concepts, and methods which has lead me to Erik Paulson’s CSW programs. I look forward to hearing about these opportunities.
