Great set of DVD’s. This set of DVD’s breaks down the core techniques that any and all grapplers should have and develope. Erik breaks down the core hold downs, rides, subs, throws and take downs that are not just popular or the flavor of the week, but the high percentage techs. that will keep working for you time and again. He also shows a few little tricks to applying these techs that make them surprisingly, almost annoyingly, easy to use. You’ll be saying, “Why didn’t I think of that?” more than once through the DVD’s. Once you master the techs in these DVD’s you will not only be able to grapple at a respectable level in any tournament at any discipline, but you will also be confident enough in your game to start throwing whatever new techs you learn as you learn more and develope your game to it fullest potential. You can plug new stuff right into your game from the base techs you learn on the DVD’s.

I’ve been wrestling since I was 12 in the early ’80′s, started Judo in the mid 90′s and have been teaching, coaching and instructing in both for the last 10 years.

Paulson’s curriculum brings it all together. Simple and effective grappling techniques to build your game on no where you go to compete.

    Hi Mr. Paulson

I just bought the Student Level 1-5 series. It’s amazing. I’m working through the Student Level 1 at the moment and in a matter of only 2 weeks I have seen improvements in my grappling. My class mates have also noticed the difference (much to their disappointment). I’ve watched the other 4 DVD’s and am impressed by the amount of information and insight. I can’t wait to start working through them! Thanks for the TON of information.

I own every Erik Paulson DVD available and these by far are the best so far. The amount of information on these dvd’s is unbelievable and as far as the price i would have paid $300 for this set so $169 is a steal.

  4. I bought this set about 2 months ago and have watched each dvd at least 3 times. I have used much of volume 1 for my students the star drills, and training methods have been a huge help!!!! I can see a big difference in all of our grappling.

No martial artist here. Will give the set as a gift & simply wanted to make sure all disks played(rare when don’t, but has happened elsewhere, so I always check), so “monitored” them while playing. I’m unqualified to compare fighters, styles, philosophies, etc., but I will say whatever Erik is teaching he knows well, & while monitoring, I’d re-attend to the content every so often, & realize Erik was still on the same topic, showing the “Nth” variation or counter, etc. It’s also apparent that Erik is a skilled teacher because the on-screen “live” lecturing during demo’s is largely unscripted & comes from experience & expertise. Not entirely unique among MMA DVD’s, but Erik is well-spoken & articulates his ideas clearly. I wouldn’t see how anyone with a clear idea of what the set is about could be anything less than satisfied. Not noticeable when “done right”(that’s a good thing & it’s the case here), the audio & video production values are more than satisfactory.

Do you have a MMA, a striking, and a submission wrestling curriculum available for instructors

Is this a series that one can start training with and get certified from another state? As in becoming an affiliate?
