Coaches for this year:
- Erik Paulson
- Greg Nelson
- Rigan Machado
- Marvin Cook
- Nicolas Saignac
- Javier Vazquez
We are trying something a little different this year. In addition to what the coaches are going to teach, we would like feedback on what you want to see. We already had a request for Coaching and Cornering material: “Mental prep techniques for the coaches to give to the fighters, how to work the corners, various hand wrapping techniques, treating cuts and injuries, tricks to get your fighter back in the game in between rounds, things to look for to keep the refs and judges from home-towning people.” Use the comments section to share with us what you are looking for this year. It’s your camp. Let us know what you need!
Note: You are responsible for arranging your own hotel and airfare.

I’d love to see some work on the stock, both offensive and defensive.
I would love to see some of the catch wrestling lock flow drills modified (maybe even simplified), so that they can be effectively applied in the “hit and submit” environment of a MMA match. I’ve seen Sensei Paulson and Sensei Nelson work some great sequences in at the seminars in Omaha, and it would be nice to bring just a few specific sequences home from the training to share with everyone.
Hi Don
Ok I’ll film some sequences and put them up on the members only area!
check out the http://www.cswtrainingcenter.com for a lockflow on the technique of the week!
Thank You
Erik
WHATS THE PRICE OF THE CAMP???
UPSS…. SORRY I FOUND IT…
Hello –
Each camp gets better every year. Gaining more knowledge and learning truely what everybody wants! We have lotsa resources to hit everyones desires… hopefully! Please post you’re requests!
Erik
It would be great if savate footwork and conditioning could be integrated into a part of the Camp.
Would love to see some boxing/padwork from Joey Aguilar.
I think you should have Nicolas Saignac do some stuff!!!
Hey Bruce, can you post a clip from the upcoming Savate Seminar.
Would be very nice. STX rules!
Hank, I will try and put together some clips of Nic teaching savate on youtube. When I have them up, I will post a link. He is training Josh, and some of the other pro fighters at CSW. Nice to see that they all recognize how beneficial Savate can be for fighting, and not just Muay Thai.
Hey Bruce, thank you for your reply.
I have trained with Salem as well with Yonnel Kurtz from Paris, but i have never seen Nicolas in action. I am particular interested in tactics and feinting. Can’t wait.
Thanks in advance, Hank.
What is the daily schedule during the camp? Session times.
Would like to learn more about what type of conditioning programs you use for your fighters.. A outline of what a typical week would look like for fighter training for a upcoming match.. Making sure fighters get enough work but also don’t over train.. Basically learning how to train smarter and then harder..
Times: 11:00am – 4:00pm – Camp participants are also welcome to attend any CSW class FREE.
Damn, I have to corner 2 fights on the 30th, otherwise I’d love to go. Possible to have another camp later this year?
Hey Sensei Paulson
Do you have to be a member to come to your camp ?. I live in kingston Ont . Canada and was thinking of coming to your camp . I have trained with you before at mike sweeneys club in Kingston . Is your camp geared towards MMA or everything in general .Let me know .
Thanks STAN
Stan, I am a coach at Erik’s gym. He is out of town right now, but the answer to your question is no, you don’t have to be a member. And yes, it is geared towards MMA.
If you want to come I would register ASAP, as I know space is limited. Hope that helps!!
I see so many nice CSW shirts and shorts that people get from your siminars. Why don’t you have these available on your site? Especially for people who are unable to make it to your siminars…
Thanks,
Gregorio
Va Beach, VA
Erik, I will be in town that week and may attend the camp. Would you like me to volunteer some Chiropractic & Active Release Performance Care?
Sensei Paulson, is there a price to participate in individual days? I would be unable to go that thursday.
Yes the fee for coming each day is just the 375 prereg price divided by the four days..call Bob Burgee at the 410 number on this site and you can prepay or it’s 100 dollars per day at the door.
The registration page has been updated to allow you to register for individual days now.
Is the camp strictly for advanced and/or Pro fighters, or is it open to novices?
Hi Mike,
Novices are welcome. Bring your notebook. The amount of info these guys share will blow your mind.
All the best.
Bob.
Thanks for your response Bob, i hope to see you there
